ESLDO – Level 4 - ESLDO
This course prepares students to use English with increasing fluency and accuracy in classroom and social situations and to participate in Canadian society as informed citizens. Students will develop the oral-presentation, reading, and writing skills required for success in all school subjects. They will extend listening and speaking skills through participation in discussions and seminars; study and interpret a variety of grade-level texts; write narratives, articles, and summaries in English; and respond critically to a variety of print and media texts.

David Boughton has been helping English language learners for the last 15 years. He began his career teaching English in Mexico, and he later taught in Toronto, working with students from all over the world. He went on to become Director of Studies, where he created curriculum and managed ESL programs and summer camps. He was also Principal of an Ontario high school, helping international students study in Canada. In the last few years, David has been designing e-learning and online content. He has created courses and content for learners all around the world. He completed his Master of Education in second language education at the university of Toronto, with a focus in online education and tasked-based language learning.
